Rated 2 de 5 de par Good design but hitch attachment does not fit Hitch attachment is 1/8 inch bigger on two sides, will not fit without filling it down. A bit frustrating since Erickson aluminum cargo tray fitted like fingers in a glove. Bad quality control for sure, will return it.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Erickson bicycle rack Very hard to beat for the money. I carry 1E bike on rack (fairly heavy) and find it solid, secure and quiet on the car.

Rated 1 de 5 de par So much promise, so terrible I bought this a month ago, and just tried to put ut together this past weekend. Well, the central hub welds are overlapping which makes it absolutely impossible to get the supposedly foldable bars in at all...so even if i got them in (tried, for hours, even resorting to a sledge hammer and block of wood, still only got one in), they wouldn't fold. Then, the holes for the carriage bolts don't line up. And the plastic adapter to make it fit my truck ALSO doesn't line up/fit right over the smaller hitch post. All in all, very disappointing. And as I bought it online through Home Depot, it's been impossible to get ahold of a human to get a refund or instructions on how to return. I work out of cell range during their available "response" hours which only go to 8pm EST /5pm PST...what a horrible product and terrible service.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Overall Useful but overpriced The overall usability is very good, lightweight, you can access your trunk without taking it off. Although I think it's overpriced for the quality. 1. The padlock for the trailer hitch pin will rust and get stuck, (you should buy a separate lock) 2. The universal trailer hitch attachment for larger hitches, is plastic and will not fit out of the box (you will need some DIY skills to get that to fit using a bench vise) then wiggle the carrier in and out to put into hitch. 3. To fold up the carrier while in place, the pin holes do not align to hold in place. ( I fold the carrier up and use the wheel straps to hold in place, only when storing or parked). It comes with a wire combination bike lock, I've not used that, but looks cheap. To transport your bike, the carrier works good, I've drove on the highway with it and off road and I think with some modifications to add a more secure bike lock would be useful. Possiblity drill some holes in the clamp to be able to lock bike to hitch and Carrier with a wire lock. Currently I can not leave the bike on the carrier unattended.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Tight as tight The item seemed great unpacking it. That is until I started assembly...the main chassis where the arms sit in is super tight. I had to use a wood block and hammer all three arms into place. What's worse, the 1.25" arm doesn't fit my hitch opening being both exactly 1.25". Traditionally, the bar is made smaller to fit the hitch. Now, I'm forced to use my 2" adapter to connect it. Haven't actually used the product yet but we'll see how it goes with my adapter :S

Rated 4 de 5 de par Bien Pour le prix Bon rack facile à utiliser avec 2 cadenas et les barres pour tenir les vélos en place fonctionne avec une barrure en plastique qui fonctionne très bien aussi.Seul bémol jai du refaire retouche peinture probablement cogné dans le transport.

Erickson Bike Carrier. It shows Capacity is for 70 lbs. However, the box says Max Load 80 lbs. Which one is true?

We have never weighed our 2 mongoose mountain bikes but they carry well on the carrier

The bike carrier will NOT fold down so you can get in the hatch or trunk.

Hi. In the photos for this product it shows the rack holding a V-frame bike, but one reviewer says he needs to secure his wife's U-frame bike with a strap. Could you confirm if this product is supposed to work with a V-frame bike/if it does? Thanks

Yes, the bicycle carrier can support a V-frame bike, when used with the appropriate adjustment hook.
