Rated 3 de 5 de par No Push Notifications The dehumidifier does an excellent job of pulling humidity out of our large basement, but there's one significant flaw - while the unit does have WiFi, it doesn't send push notifications when the bucket is full. And to be frank, that's the entire reason I selected this "smart" dehumidifier. To see notifications, you have to open the app and check for them, which entirely defeats the purpose. I'd really love to know if Frigidaire is planning to update their app to have push notifications. If so, this would absolutely be a 5-star product.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Wi-Fi don’t work [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Followed instructions on app it said it connected then it lost connection and I cannot get it to connect or back into set-up mode. I can’t find instructions and all web searches show others are having same problem. Seems like a good dehumidifier but I bought it for the controls and Wi-Fi feature. I am pretty disappointed for a Wi-Fi feature not having simple directions somewhere on the World Wide Web makes me think that there not a solution. I have spent thousands on Frigidaire appliances my only disappointment is this units Wi-Fi and instructions to fix. I am an IT professional so I can only imagine what others are feeling.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I looked at and compared tons of dehumidifiers and settled for this in the end and I’m glad I did for the simple reason that it does what it’s supposed to do. I previously bought a different brand but it’s taking so long to dehumidify the air in our flat. This may also have a higher price point but not really a lot of difference from less pricey ones. It’s all worth it with all the extra features, including wifi-enabled and automatic setting, etc. The only wish though it’s a lot quieter esp at night when the sound is more apparent hence only 4.5 stars. Overall, I’m satisfied and highly recommend.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Wifi Dehumidifier [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dehumidifier works great, pulls out water efficiently and quickly to bring down the room humidity. I’m currently using the hose in the back to drain the water into a drain but also tried the bucket which holds quite a bit and is easy to dump when full. The unit shuts off when it’s full as well making it easy to leave on while away. The wifi is an exceptionally nice setting. Having control while even out of the state makes controlling home humidity levels so easy, along with the hose for drainage. Fairly quiet, none are silent. Overall best dehumidifier I’ve owned and highly recommend.

I suffer from chronic migraines, triggered by many things including humidity. The humidity in my new apartment was averaging 70% and making it unable for me to live without pain. This product allows me to shut off the humidifier when I leave, and turn it on an hour or so before I got home, clearing the humidity and making my apartment the perfect conditions for me to live in. It is extremely easy to set up, and very easy to empty. The app allows you to turn the product on and off, or change the fan speed. I highly recommend this product!

Rated 1 de 5 de par Worked for less than 14 months... Worked well for the first year but completely failed just outside of the 1 year warranty with just over 13 months of use. This dehumidifier was purchased because it consistently gets good reviews but I really expected it to last much longer. This is one of the most expensive dehumidifiers of it's type/size but the service life is very poor. Looks like I will be out of pocket for a new one and it won't be a Frigidaire.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Good at dehumidifying, bad at wi-fi [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've owned this dehumidifier for 2 weeks and so far it's done a pretty good job of dehumidifying - it's fast, has a large water tank, and the humidity sensor seems to be pretty accurate. I run mine on the "dry" mode set to 40% humidity. I also like that it has wheels that make it easy to move around. However, the "smart" features are basically nonfunctional because it doesn't stay connected to the wifi. I'm basically using it as if it didn't have these features, which is a waste of money. I'm hoping for an update that will fix these issues.

Rated 1 de 5 de par DO NOT PURCHASE - EC ERROR CODE DO NOT PURCHASE! I purchased a unit that failed with an EC Code. They replaced once and it failed again. They won't replace again even though 3 different agents told me one was being sent. They lied for 2 months. Google EC Error Codes on this unit and you will see that they have a major issue with their de-humidifiers.

Does it have a drain for a hose

Thank you for reaching out. This model does not include drain hose. For continuous drainage operation, you will need a garden hose and a drain nearby to discharge the water into. The recommended drain hose is 1/2" (12.7 mm) or larger. Make sure there are no kinks or elevations in the hose. ~Ruth

My basement is approximately 1500 sqr. ft. with moderate humidity. I just want the basement dehumidified; not the whole house. Is this a good dehumidifier for my use?

What are the exact differences between the FGAC5045W1 and the FGAC5044W1? Is it only that the newer FGAC5045W1 pulls roughly 10 less watts or is there any other differences between them?

What is the noise level and does the fan shut down when the humidity is reached?
