Rated 1 de 5 de par Manufacturer will not support product. This unit only worked for less than 5 months before it broke and started to heat the wood mantle, putting off the smell of burnt wood. I contacted the Home Depot customer service first, who were *fantastic*, but were told by the manufacturer that they would only deal with me directly. So I called the manufacturer, Dimplex, directly. They were very helpful on the phone, and agreed it was still under warranty. So it was to my surprise that their response was to send me out a part and tell me to find a service professional, at *my* cost, to repair it. That is the extent of their warranty and support of their products. They will replace the part, but the customer is responsible for paying to actually have it repaired! I could see this as reasonable if the unit was older than a year, but it didn't even last an entire winter! Apparently that is the standard with this manufacturer. Dimplex will send you a part then you are on your own! And once you've had the unit repaired the warranty is now null & void, so any future breakdowns in their machine are solely the responsibility of the customer to deal with and pay for. I will never buy another Dimplex unit, now knowing that they have so little faith in their own machines to work properly that they will not fully support it. It ended up costing much more than the $200 I thought I was paying for it.

Rated 1 de 5 de par looks nice but ...... Bought this as for a small bedroom .Worked for about six months , then the heater stops. Smell was awful. Looks nice but no heat. of course now I cant return it. I would only buy if you dont want the heater function, just the fake fireplace "look"

Rated 4 de 5 de par nice touch in a room Had this little fireplace for about 2 years. It's really a nice addition to a room and nice to have mantle to display things on. Also great as an extra heat source if needed.
