Rated 1 de 5 de par This KLEIN is a waste of money. Bought it because of the name. It has a design flaw.....The batteries get drained when the light button accidently gets pressed while in your tool pouch. The tester will all of a sudden just quit working (but the light will still work, if it has not been drained) due to one of the testing wire leads being broken by the constant flexing at or near the rubber snout where the leads go into the case. The quality of the wire is in question. To find the break in the wire lead, gently pull on the lead(s) and you will find the insulation stretches at the wire fail point. I have read that KLEIN denies this problem. Buy another brand.

Rated 1 de 5 de par I have had FOUR fail on me within 3-6 months The feature set and Klein name are the reasons I bought this tester in the first place, and why I gave it a second, third, and fourth chance when it failed. When it fails, the LED flashlight continues to work (meaning battery is not the problem) but the continuity and voltage test features don't work. Sometimes wriggling the leads has restored full function for a short time, but ultimately that doesn't help either. I am not rough on my tools, these failed testers have received only normal wear and tear (removing it from its place in my tool belt and placing it back). Klein denies knowledge of a trend of these failing, despite multiple reviews on the internet describing this type of premature failure. They told me they will "take it in for testing and replace it." C'mon Klein, we expect more from you. If you can't do adequate Quality Control on your line of test equipment, get out of that business and stick to pliers. Peoples lives are on the line, and you owe something better to the tradespeople who have bought your test products based on your reputation .

Rated 4 de 5 de par Reliable and functional for daily usage I purchased the unit to replace a 40 year old Square D Wiggy that became increasingly difficult to find replacement leads. The additional low voltage detection, continuity and built in flashlight allowed me to eliminate other tools that I carry and use daily. While no meter is a one size fits all in the field, this voltage tester is very reliable and functional for daily use that will go from checking doorbell transformer voltage to mainline voltage confirmation.

Rated 2 de 5 de par Not worthy of the Klein name I received this tester as a gift. I do love my Klein tools, but this sub-par item is not worthy of the name, in my opinion. It does work, but it is of lower quality and I do not have confidence in it holding up, so will be returning it. Maybe okay for occasional DIY use, but not for the tradesman.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Accurate and easy to use. Very happy with how easy it is to use. I am not an electrician so the old style that you had to adjust for different voltages and or ac or DC were a little confusing because I hardly use it on a regular basis. This one automatically tells you ac or DC. Shuts off on it's one and has a handy light. Very happy with price and quality of product.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Good tool I’ve had this since 2012. I use it most days. That led torch button can get knocked and drain the batteries but that’s the only problem I’ve had. I think it happened once so not a major. I’ve worn the leads out so need to solder in some new ones.
