Rated 5 de 5 de par Excellent Product I'm at a point where I'm tired of going cheap on tools and products. I've decided to spend the money necessary in order to get the quality items I need in order to complete a task. This sander is a perfect example of that. It's not much more than the cheapy ones, but you get a lot more bang for the buck. It's got plenty of power, good on/off switch, adjustable speed, and a long cord . . . and a 5 year warranty. This thing removes wood! The solid case is of lifetime quality and leaves plenty of room for the sander as well as many extra sanding pads. I'm very happy with this sander. Hopefully the kids' bunk beds will be done soon!

Rated 1 de 5 de par 2nd Milwaukee sander I purchased. Sander died within the first 2 hours of light use. I shut it off and it would not turn on again. The dust collection is very poor compared to the old bag style. When I did use it I just got blasted with dust the entire time. I opened the canister and hardly any dust had been collected. The first Milwaukee sander i purchased had the dust collection bag. That one actually collected dust but would spray out of the connection where the bag attached. I purchased a variable speed Makita after I returned this sander and it just blew the Milwaukee out of the water in every way. I am a fan of Milwaukee tools but their sanders are no good.

Rated 2 de 5 de par Bad switch and terrible dust collection system Almost all of my power tools are milwaukee. Absolutely love the M18 Fuel series. This sander is not the same quality that I've become accustomed to. The switch has been an issue since i got it and has become worse with every use- now if I want to use it, I have to push the button on as hard as I can and hold it there. Sometimes no amount of pressure will activate it. As far as the dust collector goes, it it the cheapest piece of tupperware i have ever seen. Also, the parts that you switch back and forth- if you're going between the dust collector and vacuum- are not meant to last. Fix those two issues and this sander would be 5/5.

Rated 2 de 5 de par Did a great job until it broke This sander worked well for 2.5 years until it stopped turning on. Pros: Very good value. It has a slow start, variable speed, and will not leave marks if used properly. The carrying bag is great for storing all the sanding discs. Cons: The adapter for the vacuum is poor fitting. Despite the extreme force required to attach it, it will fall off after a few minutes, causing dust to momentarily fly everywhere. My unit stopped working after 2.5 years. At first it would have trouble turning on, and I had to rapidly flip the switch to get it going. It eventually would never turn on again. I probably used it for a total of 15 hours.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Very Disappointing I got this sander at our local big box store. I will admit it was a heck of a deal and very inexpensive. Perhaps I should have checked out some reviews!! I am a woodworking hobbyist and by no means do I use this tool to excess. It has maybe 4 or 5 hours of run time on it. The hook and loop pad has worn out already. I checked with big box store and of course they don't have parts. I sent 3 different requests via the Milwaukee website enquiring about replacement parts and nothing. No one has contacted me back. This will be my last Milwaukee tool!!!

Rated 5 de 5 de par I'm a Milwaukee guy [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always been a huge fan of Milwaukee tools and this sander is definitely one of my favorites now. I'd been using a DeWalt corded sander for a few years and between the two there isn't much ti compare, but this sander matches the rest of my Milwaukee tools which I like. It's very simple, the sanding pads are easy to attach and stay in place with no issues. I have larger hands so I have a fairly easy time holding onto this for extended periods of time, even though they can still cramp up. So long as Milwaukee keeps up their craftsmanship and awesome customer service I will be a life long customer of their products.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Out of 5 brands this one failed for us. We use these orbital sanders throughout the day to make jump rails. We prefer the adhesive pads instead of hook and loop since the hook and loop fails quickly on rounded surfaces resulting in flying sanding disks. We currently have 3 Milwaukees, 5 Makitas, 1 Ridgid, 4 Ryobis and 1 Dewalt orbital sander. The Milwaukees are the new units. We haven't had any failures yet on the other brands (over 5 years of ownership). At close to a year of use, we had 1 Milwaukee fail this month with the bearing falling off. Luckily it is easy to get these tools repaired at a close warranty center but it takes a while for the repaired unit to come back. We are trying to move to Milwaukee only brand facility so I may be doing regular trips to the warranty center for these units. Our other Milwaukee power tools seem to be holding up OK except for 1 cordless drill and impact set that had switch failures after 3 years of use.

Rated 5 de 5 de par A nice professional palm sander - not a hobbyist toy I had the throw away sander from Ryobi which lasted until I started using it on a regular basis. It failed. I purchased the Milwaukee due to good reviews. It has lived up to my expectations. It does not bog down when I bear down. It allows me to change speed when I want to reduce the rate that I remove material. The dust collection works great with my system. I have used this product for about 10 hours total sanding time and definitely see it as a big step up from the Ryobi. Home Depot had by far the best price I found. I consider it a great purchase.

Is the Milwaukee 5 in. Random Orbit Sander, model # 6021-21 an 8 hole or 5 hole?

Posée par: Red
It's an 8-hole. Which is great I think the more holes the less dust

Is this good for sanding wood floors at home

Posée par: Richard
It was a decent sander when it was working but died on me after only 2 hours of light use. I must have gotten a defective one but I will say the dust collection was not very good. If you hook it up to a shop vac you should be in good shape though.

Hi Jeff, Yes good for all wood sanding. If used on drywall though, it could damage the tool.

Would this be good to use to sand a deck to remove solid deck stain?

Posée par: Gallagher320
Yes, you can use this 5" Random Orbit Sander to remove stain on a deck, just be sure to use a coarse sandpaper; 60 grit sand paper would work well.
