Rated 5 de 5 de par Good product. I was to give a review on a cement block. Well it’s beautiful. The texture and colour are riveting with the strong construct. Love the porous look of it and lovely white grey mix of colour. It’s weight is firm. What a great cement block.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Nice but the shapes were different from the photo The quality was okay.. But out of 33 I ordered, 5 were different shape. 5 were flat on the sides, not like U shaped like in the product photo. I didn't want to go back to the store to exchange it because they were too heavy and big. But it would have been nice if they came all in same shape.

Can you put a 4x4 in the hole of the blocks? I want to make a bench and I’m looking for the ones that would have a big enough hole for a 4x4 post

Posée par: Lisa
Yes, I just went out and tried it to be sure...they fit.

How wide are the openings inside? will a 5X5 inch post fit in there?

Posée par: Alex
Hello, 8 inch block is designed to stacked or used for support. putting any type of post in the openings could cause the block to crack. It is not the intended use for this product and is not recommended.

Posée par: fw20239

Can these blocks used for retaining wall? How many layers maximum pile up?

Posée par: Robin
Yes I've built a retaining wall with up to 3 blocks high above bottom of grade with 3 blocks high under the grade. Then coping stones on top. (If the wall is under 1 Meter in height permit is not required in Ontario ) Inside the blocks I've put in fiberglass rebar and then filled with concrete. Then on the bottom inside of the wall I've installed drainage pipe, drilled through the blocks for drainage pipes with T connection. Before adding the fill I've put in the landscape cloth that allows water to seep through but stops the soil from clogging the drainage pipes. Then filled with dirt) soil and added sod in top.

Are these heat proof for a fire-pit?

Posée par: Savannah
Unfortunately, these are not heat proof blocks; however, there are numerous concrete fire pit kits that we sell with steel inserts that would be much more beneficial for use as a fire pit.
