Rated 5 de 5 de par Get it! When we remodeled our home, we chose bath faucets with a drain pop up lever that interfered with the backsplash - we couldn't push/pull the stopper up or down easily. Because of the lack of motion, our drains clogged and our sinks got icky. We've installed tub drains with the "press and seal" feature before so I knew such an animal existed. I found these pop ups online and decided to give them a try. I installed them myself in about 10-15 minutes each without plumbers putty and just a little hacksaw to shorten the tailpiece. THEY WORK GREAT and they're just fun to press :). We will be installing these in all of our rentals as needed. No more getting under the sink in an awkward twist to adjust that stupid push rod assembly.

Fast delivery to the house, Instructions were clear and concise, Installation was easy and quickly done. The drain assembly installation to the basin was done by hand without the need for tools. I used 12" Channellock pliers, a plastic bowl, and some paper towels for removal of the old assembly and for the "P" trap installation with the new assembly, Installation on two basins required about 30 minutes. Actually, getting into the packages was a shade more difficult that the trap installations. I initially had reservations about this type of drain stopper, but they disappeared after I had the chance to actually use it. Very pleased with all aspects of the installation.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great Product Plunger type drains have always annoyed me. Recently I installed a new Pfister faucet with a push n seal drain. I liked it so much, I ordered two more drains for the vanity in our master bath. Installation is simple, quick, and doesn't require any tools. Operation is also simple, as the name implies- push the drain down to close, push again to open. No more dealings with that darned plunger gizmo behind the faucet. To soon to comment on overall wear and tear, or clogging issues.

Unfortunately, it would not hold water. I called Pfister customer service to ask for a troubleshooting guide. They quickly offered to send me a new push mechanism and made it sound as though it was the likely problem. I agreed and received the new push mechanism within a few days. The new push mechanism did not stop the leak and after disassembling the drain and removing the drain body from the sink, I found that the gasket that is supposed to seal between the underside of the drain body flange and the surface of the sink was out of alignment and allowing water to pass by. Several attempts to align the gasket were unsuccessful due to the curvature and size of the sink hole. I removed the gasket and reinstalled the drain body the old school way with plumbers putty. The putty accommodated the variability in the surface of the sink in a way that the gasket could not. The drain now holds water as it should. Other than this issue, I found the Push & Seal to be easy to install and easy to use.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Push drain This is the second time I have gotten these drains. They are easy to install and work far better than conventional pull drains. Awesome product.

Rated 2 de 5 de par Not a trouble free experience for( me at least) I bought one of these from HD and installed it in a powder room wash basin approximately four years ago. The wash basin was used several times a day. The popup recently began to fail popping up and it was difficult to get it to open to drain the basin. I searched online looking for a replacement popup part, but couldnt find a part. I resorted to buying a complete drain assembly in order to get another pop up part to replace the existing sticky one. I don't recommend selecting the item if you need to replace the dtain in your wsh basin, or are installing a new basin

Rated 5 de 5 de par Easy install Tried two other pop-up drain assemblies, and both leaked. This one was put in in minutes and didn't leak. No tools required except for for a wide crescent wrench for removing the trap.

How do you attach the drain to the p-trap. It measures 1 1/4in but when purchasing the adapter to my p-trap it doesn't fit. Is it smaller then 1 1/4?

Posée par: Dumb
The P trap has its own threaded flange and thin plastic seal that forms a tight seal around the bottom of the drain.

warranty?

I purchased 3 high arc faucets in brushed nickel with the push and seal drain. One of the drain assemblies has failed, it will no longer click down, and I have not owned these very long... maybe 11 months? I don't have the receipt but I am wondering what the warranty is. I feel I shouldn't have to buy a new drain seal so soon!
Posée par: pfk

can this push and seal replace the drain in an over price pfister bathroom sink faucet? the current one has the old school drain and the rubber underneath the plate of the drain in the sink is coming up and showing which makes it look like mold is coming up, but it's really just shredded rubber from the stopper. the faucet is fine other than that, but we have to get a new stopper. is this push and seal usable for this?
Posée par: mmmmm
Yes. It should be fine. Don't know if yours has the pull up rod. It does NOT connect to your faucet's lever. It is strictly a pop-up stopper. You push it down to close it, push down again to click and open it again. Mine works wonderfully! My problem may be the sink itself. I can't get the normal lever operated stoppers to seal so water doesn't leak out. When I close the stopper, water still runs out. Replaced it with two different ones. Same problem. Gave up and put this one in. Problem solved!
