Rated 3 de 5 de par Change the plans and hardware before you begin!!! Bracket is fine, but had to use 2 2X6 and 2 2X8's instead of the recommended 2X6's only to get a seat and backrest way more comfortable. Also the heavy duty screws they give you aren't the right grade of steel as they break and snap off when tightened.

I brought them for a making a seating area on the shoreside of the dock (very rocky) and to act as a barrier for kids/adults tripping accidentally onto the rocky shore line. Very functional and added seating (15 feat long) ~ for 6-8 people along the edge. Easy to assemble. Cons: 1. Very poor quality screws. Threw them all out and got structural screws. Adds to the cost 2. Narrow seating (aka less butt room). Not ideal for even a small adult. Just for kids. Can be increased by adding another seating board but requires support for that board. Defeats the whole purpose of this bracket. i am going to do it.

The instructions are perfectly clear and easy to understand. I wish all manufacturers instructions were so simple! The price at Home Depot for these was half the cost as elsewhere. Highly recommend!

Rated 3 de 5 de par A bit pricey for the gauge of the steel. As... A bit pricey for the gauge of the steel. As other reviewers have said, the fasteners are a bit lacking. I was able to use decking planks instead of 2 by material. If you are planning to build a deck, put extra blocking under the deck planks of you plan to use this product. Get some beefy Spax screws to replace the provided screws.

Back rest is fine height, but seating needs to accommodate two 2x8s or two 2x10s, Pending of course I’m how they can figuration of the installation. But the seating as it came only accommodates two 2x6s, and that’s not deep enough.

During installation I snapped the head off of two of the bolts while putting them in with a small ratchet wrench. This made it necessary to drill new holes in the brackets and add some extra bolts.

Rated 2 de 5 de par Deck Bench Brackets The Frame work for the Brackets was fine. The Placement of the Holes was terrible! The steel is very strong and to try to drill appropriate holes with a hand drill after installation is very difficult, I burnt out 4 Drill bits trying to put in the appropriate holes. The Seat size is a Good Six Inches too small. I had to put new holes with a support Piece just under the bench to make the benches wide enough to sit on without falling off or getting leg cramps. I also gained another Inch of Bench width by using 5/4 Inch Decking Boards as the Backrest. I ended up increasing the width of the the bench by about 2 1/2 inches over your design. The Second hole for the Deck mounting is exactly in the wrong spot at ! 1/2 inches from the edge of the Deck and completely misses either of the first two supporting beams which are normally 1 1/2 inches wide. ( I drilled another hole 3/4 inch inward to catch the next Support joist in the Middle). Fortunately I hadn't installed all of the 20 Brackets and was able to Correct this inadequacy on my Drill Press to drill 2 more holes in each Bracket without burning out any more Drill bits.

Do these have to be installed at the edge of the deck or do you cut a hole in the deck to put the ‘tail’ through?

Hello, There is no minimum or maximum length. You must put a bracket every 12 inches maximum for the composite and one every 24 inches maximum with 2x6 wood. Thanks

Can this be installed into a concrete deck? If so, what kinds of screws do you recommend?
