She has a dog door to come in and out of the house as she needs to. The battery life has surprised me, it has lasted for months. I liked the camera so much due to its picture quality and detection; I order a second one for the front of the house. I thought having an extra battery was a great idea. This way when one of the Ring devices needs a battery, we can quickly swap out. We are on the go a lot and this way it is always recording. A new charging cord was included, which I needed. I have been very impressed with all of the Ring Products.

I trusted you to help me do I am secure and it has yet worked pryfrom day one. I’ve tried everything and you have a 30 day return policy and I am still working on getting them to work properly. The battery packs don’t last near as long as I was told. I don’t know what I’ll do in the winter. I have to say I WILL BEVER SHOP HOME DEPOT IN MY LIFE AGAIN!! People warned me but I had a gift card that’s the only reason I came to your busy. Well I would have been better off throwing the gift card away! Thanks but no thanks!!

The advertised 6 to 12 month life cycle highly suspect with my current settings on the RING DOORBELL 2. Motion settings impact life span.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Works great! This Ring Rechargeable Quick Release Battery Pack is a lifesaver! I was always a little anxious about my Ring doorbell running out of power, especially since it's a bit of a hassle to take the whole thing down to charge. This battery pack has completely eliminated that worry. It's incredibly easy to install – it literally took seconds to swap out the old one. The quick release mechanism is genius! Now, I just pop this one out, bring it inside to charge, and pop a fresh one in. No more downtime for my doorbell! The battery life is also impressive. I get a good long run out of each charge, and the peace of mind knowing my doorbell is always powered on is invaluable. Highly recommend this for any Ring owner – it's a game changer!

I would recommend it only if they change the small screw on the bottom that is easily dropped when changing out and unable to find. You need some type of screw that actually stays in the plastic housing completely yet allows you to unscrew the lower plate to change out the battery. It's a design flaw as far as I'm concerned and the batteries do not last as long as you have full protection on or WI FI intermittent outtages where it keeps trying to reset as WI FI flickers on and off. I live in an area of extreme seasonal climate changes. Having to change out the battery so often is crazy. Fix the bottom battery protection plate issue with the screw and then I'd recommend it to anyone. IF you have the cash I'd go with solar though.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Battery power So I love that these batteries click into place and they are so easy to use. I only give 4 stars though because after a year or two they don’t seem to hold the charge nearly as well as they did when they were new. I suppose this is expected as it would be with any other kind of rechargeable battery but I’d expect it to last longer than two years before already noticing a difference considering laptops and cell phones have rechargeable batteries but they can last for like 5-7 years before noticing a big difference.

Hi Curious, Thanks for reaching out. Your Ring device will alert you once motion is detected as well as when someone rings your doorbell. You will, however, receive a notification for a motion alert before you will be notified that someone has rung your doorbell. No. Battery operated ring cameras and doorbells come complete with the battery. it may be easier, however, to have a spare, charged battery on hand. if the battery in your device needs recharging and you have no spare, the device will be out of commission until you can recharge and reinstall the single battery. another alternative is the solar panel that keeps your battery charged.

Yes, you will get a notification in the Ring app on your smart phone when the battery needs to be changed. You may get an email notification as well if you have notifications setup for that.

I can't remember as I bought it a long time ago. However you can use any micro-usb cord. I use the same one for my phone since it is longer than the one that came with the original ring purchase. (-;

This is lithium ion battery and thus it has no memory. So you can recharge it anytime and start or stop any time.

Hi Trina, This is just a rechargeable battery, which you can use to replace the battery that comes with the Ring Door Bell 2. That way you don't have an extended downtime while you recharge your battery. You would need to purchase the Ring Door Bell 2 which captures video that can be viewed through the Ring application on your phone or other Internet connected device.
