This tool seems to be well made and sturdy, but as a useful tool I'd give it a very low score. I used it to help roll out overlapping vinyl planks in a 14x25ft room. Even as a bigger person it's hard to get enough weight on top of the tool as to feel that you are putting any meaningful pressure on the tiles. We ended up just walking/sliding over the floors with socks on and that felt more effective. This tool also forces you into a pretty uncomfortable position so for larger areas it might be hard on DIYers who don't do this kind of work often. If I did it again I'd spring for the rental of the 100 pound roller, but I see no evidence of the tiles coming up and for this project we ended up using neither tool.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Floor Roller It is a well made and durable item. It did do the job, but only with a whole lot of muscle behind it. I would rate it 5 stars if it had a longer handle. It only extends to 18 inches, which means you must be on your hands and knees to use it. Older people, especially those of us with arthritis have a difficult time down on the floor. If you have no problems being down on the floor, then this is the tool for you. Otherwise, I would say hire someone to do it for you.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Excellent tool This tool worked great for pressing resilient vinyl floor tiles onto spread adhesive, and is especially handy for reaching under the overhang of a cabinet toe-kick. The stirrup handle allows you to press down with significant body weight. On a small floor area like a kitchen, bathroom, or hall, it beats renting a 100 lb. roller as suggested by many tile manufacturers.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Floor roller This is a high quaiity, affordable, and easy to use tool. A must have for our individual stick down tiles we applied to a concrete basement floor.

Rated 5 de 5 de par So easy to use The extendable floor roller really worked great. Easy to use and did exactly what it was supposed to do.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Nice Roller - Should be heavier This roller is well made and the handle can be extended to full size so you don't have to bend, but it isn't heavy enough to really do much as a roller. I had to really push to feel like it was doing anything for the Allure Vinyl I was installing. I really think it is a waste of money. You can walk on the vinyl and get a better seal. Save your money.

I wish I had the tool when I had done similar floors in the past. The extendable handle is a nice feature and the handle near the rollers allows you to apply a good amount of pressure on the roller.

There is no handle. Just a bolt sticking out of the handle area. It dies not turn even with a wrench.

I think you got what I almost got, somebody in the store took the red handle off, I could not figure that out at first, another on the rack had the red handle. Too bad store associate did not see that. Bring it back and get the whole thing. That nut is how it tightens, by twisting it tight once have desired length. Somewhere there is a loose handle out there waiting for you. :)

I purchased one today. It doesn't have a red handle as shown, and I cannot extend it for the life of me, what's going on? Do you have to purchase the actual handle separately?

Hi, you shouldn’t have to. That top half should be attached to a knurled knob on the lower section that lets you twist and pull the top half up. Sounds like a damaged goods item to me.

Can this tool be used to effectively install engineered hard wood flooring? I have about 400 sq. Ft. to install.

I did a small kitchen less than half of the size you are doing, you might want to rent a bigger one, but it did work very well for what I needed.

I am looking for a hand roller to attach adhesive to a wall to attach a cork board to. Is there a specific roller that would be ideal for that?

Posée par: akk
The extendable floor roller would be ideal to apply pressure to the cork board .. Usually a notched trowel would be used for the adhesive.. Milt

Will this work to install fully adhered sheet vinyl, @ 250Sqft. Do I push my body weight into the handle? How much weight will it support as I weight 180.
Posée par: JimInHayward
Once you've extended the roller handle make sure you twist lock it but good. When I install a sheet of wall protection I use my weight every chance I get, arms alone do not give the pressure needed, and arms tire out if installing all day. If rollering above the shoulders, I fist the handle end into my shoulder and lean into it. if waist high I fist the handle into my hip and put my weight into it. I keep handle into hip and bend my knees and start low then push upward with my weight at my hip. Push bubbles outward. Apply pressure from the roller everywhere on the sheet to ensure vinyl-to-glue and glue-to-wall contact. If you come back the next day and see bubbles, just roller (push) the bubbles out, the glue in that bubble may still be wet enough to stick. Oh I weigh a bit more than you, the question isn't can it hold your weight, the question is how much weight can you apply?
