[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Ryobi surface cleaner came boxed. I hooked it up to my Ryobi power washer and started to clean my flagstone in my back yard patio. The connection to the cleaner is a very good connector like on a air hose. It locks in place because of the pressure needed to clean like it does. In my pictures you can see where I washed and where I did not clean. It stands out very well. This tool is worth the money. Can be used on most any surface. My garage floor will be next. then the cool deck around the pool. Requires around 3000 PSI. Will not work with 2000 PSI pressure washer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice little gadget to have if you own a house with concrete flat work or wooden deck. This tool will attach to any power washer with a removable nozzle, the box states 2700 to 3500psi gas power washers. I attached this to a 1900psi electric power washer and it performed awesome! So far we have cleaned the concrete floor in the pavilion and the concrete floor in the barn. Next project will be cleaning the deck on the house. This makes power washing floors much easier and much faster.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Dangerous Product The surface cleaner attachment has a poor design & quality. I used this 2 times, and it broke. The metal connector assembly broke right off, while still staying connected to the spinning wands. When the metal connector assembly broke off there is was a loud bang that sounded like a gun shot. The plastic housing pieces shot off the part. Luckily I was not injured when the part broke. Very interesting Ryobi doesn't sell on their website and has a new design with more support for metal connector.

However, after using the Surface Cleaner a few times, the plastic holding the wand cracked and the spinning motion became unbalanced. It was outside the 90 day warranty (occurred within a year) and RYOBI refused to make an exception even to provide a prod credit. PLEASE DO NOT BUY A RYOBI SURFACE CLEANER

Rated 5 de 5 de par Well worth it! Get the upgrade! The RY31SCW20VNM made quick work of a back patio, long driveway, front sidewalk, and front walkway to the front door (all 30 year old concrete). I have power washed it the old fashioned way, and using this took about 1/3 of the time. I went with the upgraded model because of the castors, which confirmed it was well worth the upgrade. It glides effortlessly, and I think since it is raised up, it has less of a chance of hitting corners and edges and getting bent, which is the most common problem I read about on the cheaper one. Yes, it is double the price of the RY31SC01, but bent arms/nozzles seemed to be a common theme on that one. The RY31SCW20VNM went over expansion joints like they weren't there. The sweep around the bottom keeps the water in, and I stayed mostly dry. The box recommends 2700-3700 PSI. I used the GVC160 model, which is 2800 PSI. It had MORE than enough power to get the job done, even being on the lower end of the recommended range. I used the standard wand that came with my power washer, and did not the the extension wand that was recommended.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I almost can’t believe how well this surface cleaner works. For 30 years I cleaned concrete driveways and wood decks using just a spray wand. Cleaning my 900 ft2 concrete driveway required two days effort. It was slow, backbreaking work. But no longer. Today I cleaned my driveway at a rate of 400 ft2/hour while using my Ryobi surface cleaner. It’s terrific how fast and easy it was to clean my heavily soiled driveway. I had some neighbors stop by on their afternoon walks to ask me where they could get one for their pressure washer. In addition to being much faster than a wand, the surface cleaner is so much easier on my back. I can stand up straight while moving the cleaner, and the casters carry the weight of the cleaner and wand. I can maneuver it with a single hand. The casters allow me to move the cleaner in any direction with ease. I can run it right up to the edge of the driveway without the spray digging out the dirt along the edge. The cleaner is specified for use with washers with outlet pressures in the range 2700-3700 psi. The outlet pressure on my 25-year-old washer is considerably less than 2700 psi, but I still got good results. I think the limitation imposed by lower-than-spec-pressure is how fast I can advance the cleaner. I’d say I’m cleaning 2 to 3 times faster than I did with just the wand. A higher pressure would most likely increase the cleaning speed. My Ryobi surface cleaner came ready to use right out of the box with no assembly. It took me less than 10 minutes to read the two-page instructions on use and maintenance before getting started. A nozzle cleaning tool (wire) came with the cleaner for clearing the orifices on the two rotating jets (nozzles). Made in Vietnam.

Takes less than 1/3 of the time compared to using the wand. 2 years ago it took me 2 full days to clean driveway alone with the wand, horribly hard work. With this surface cleaner, less than a day to do a big patio, pathways, plus the driveway. Much less streaks and misses, much less effort, and significant saving in gas. Still need to finish with the wand, to get into corners, blast stubborn moss / grass from cracks & seams (the surface cleaner does a pretty good job of cleaning out cracks & seams, but not 100%), and flush away the sludge. Very happy with it.

Rated 5 de 5 de par I have had the 16" surface cleaner for about one month. I used it with a 3400 PSI pressure washer... I have had the 16" surface cleaner for about one month. I used it with a 3400 PSI pressure washer to strip acrylic sealer (using Xylene) off of my pool deck. It took approximately 25-30 hours to complete the job and, surprisingly, I did not have any issues with the rotating arm of the surface cleaner getting jammed up with the gooey mess from the stripped acrylic. The wheels required periodic cleaning due to the goo, but, they are easy to remove. The surface cleaner is easy to maneuver and will meet the needs of most homeowners. It is very durable and definitely met my expectations.

Can this surface cleaner work on pavers with grout in-between or will it remove the grout?

This surface cleaner is very aggressive and cleans concrete great. But even on old concrete it can remove a little bit of surface. I would not use it on brick or grout. I would use the Ryobi telescoping power scrubber. I worked excellent on wood siding and my fireplace brick.

Can the Jets be removed individually if it gets clogged
