Rated 4 de 5 de par I like the unit overall, but just a few downsides. The charger is proprietary, like a mini microphone connector, and it sticks out quite a bit when plugged in on front panel, and has a huge separate charger box. I imagine if you lose it they will want 150 dollars easy. When you charge the unit, it finally says fully charged, then when you unplug and turn it on to use it, it says 88% every time. Either it never truly fully charges, or the calibration is way off. This is a nice home unit for running your coffee maker when the power goes out, but there is no way to charge it via solar panels, or 12v, or etc. It has to be plugged in to 120v with its huge charger and proprietary connector.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Good: form factor. Bad: proprietary charging cable that is huge and must be carried with unit. Charger is impossible to buy separately if you damage connector, or just left it behind on a trip. Slow charge rate. No solar charging. Returned this unit and got the eco flow delta 2 & extra battery on special buy for a few hundred less than this unit. I love ryobi, I even have the zero turn mower, but they dropped the ball on this one

Rated 5 de 5 de par Life Saver [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered this as Hurricane Debby is heading for Georgia. I was already without power. I received it less than 24 hours later (I still don't have power). If I'm not online, I'm not earning income. Being days w/o income is financially devastating. But, I'm working thanks to the Power Station and the super fast delivery!!!

Rated 5 de 5 de par nice little machine I got this powerstation for power outages. The in-laws house wasn't going to cut it anymore LOL I went with this ryobi one over other brands. ryobi has been making batteries for a long time, so I know they can make a high quality power station that will last my family for years, and do far so go! I charged lap tops, phones, and power tools - all at the same time. I even tried making some toast - it only ate up 8% of the battery this thing pack s some serious power. would recomend

Rated 5 de 5 de par Easy to carry portable power Received the product in exchange for an honest review. It is primarily used in my garage to help cut down on using extension cords when using my miter saw or other corded tools. The Power Station has been used a few times during power outages and has no problem keeping a chest freezer and a refrigerator running for multiple hours. Can easily power a TV, modem, charge phones and laptops. I also have a Ryobi gas generator with parallel capability with this Power Station. Very useful tool.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great features and easy to use [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this product for the recent Hurricane Milton which struck Florida. I used it to keep the kitchen refrigerator running for 6 hours while the power was out

Rated 2 de 5 de par No solar charging option Love the weight and portability but seriously disappointed at the lack of solar charging inputs. I’ll be giving this unit away and buying a pecron, bluetti, or eco flow. Missed opportunity

Rated 1 de 5 de par Didn’t meet my needs but description indicated it would run a small heater but did say only for 30 mins to an hour.

How does this compare to the 40v ryobi battery generator? Like if the 40v generator had 4 6amp batteries, then would this one out last it? There has to be some specs for people to make a judgment call on which one suits their needs and wallets.

Posée par: Jeff
Hello, Jeff - Thank you for your question. Yes, this power station would have more power than the 40v station with four 6ah batteries, it would be comparable to using four 12ah batteries in the 40v power station. Additionally, the RYi1000VNM has a 1094 watt hour internal battery while the 40V power station with (4) 6Ah 40V batteries would have 864 watt hours of battery capacity. I hope this helps! If you need further support, then a RYOBI Customer Experience Professional is here for you, Monday - Friday from 9 am to 6 pm (EST) when you call or text us at 1.800.525.2579 or through email or live chat when you visit us at https://www.ryobitools.com/support/contact. How does the RYi818BG compare to this generator?

Posée par: Cams
Hello, Cams - The RYi818BG uses 18V batteries for power, while this RYi1000 has an internal battery.
