Our back yard has a lot of pavement and the summmer heat is to much for the plants and us. I now own a total of 5 sails in different colors. they hold up well. You can't go wrong. Rated 5 de 5 de par Mounting the sail I put the 12'x12' sail up on mounts that were about 16'x16'. I used heavy duty bungie straps, instead of the mounting hardware that came with the sail, to see how it would look. Turns out the bungie straps worked real well and pulled the sail real tight. I think I may leave it that way. I am really very happy with this product.

Rated 3 de 5 de par A little disappointed We purchased this for our back patio. I was VERY excited for installation. Its a 2 person project. I enjoy this when it's pulled taut, but the wind has caught it twice and a corner came 'unhooked'. Its important to follow the directions to make sure you have the correct triangle and before you drill holes in your house. I wanted a sun shade instead of an umbrella bc our last umbrella was left open and broke during high winds.

One of the originals wore thru the fabric (after 3 years) due to contact with hardware from rubbing. Be sure you have a plan layer out before you buy

Rated 4 de 5 de par Excellent Sunshade for the price! As others have stated, the installation hardware is cheap. The shade itself is very well made with reinforced edges and nylon strap covering stainless steel mounts. It's holding up very well in the southern heat.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Instant shade for the dog run I built my dogs a run on the side of the house and used artificial grass. Knowing that the artificial grass gets very hot in direct sunlight, I ordered and installed this shade as in the afternoon there is no shade on the side of the house, and it gets very hot in the summer here. Attached easily, and came with all necessary hardware. Very sturdy materials and stitching. I did put a pole concreted into the ground for one corner. So far it has stood up to some fairly good winds.

We like the color of sea blue which is a bit matte and grayish and matches well with our Cedar pergola. We bought two sails and put them together to give more shades. It’s nice that it comes with tie down hardwares. It’s not water proof and does not hold rain. But it’s breathy and hope it helps withstand the wind. We used two nylon lines to hold the sails to the pergola roof and it works so far!

do these sails block ultra violet light?

I know that you can still burn under some umbrellas. Wanted to see if this product blocks UV rays.
