Rated 3 de 5 de par Flimsy product I had to return the first one because the first time I lifted the bookshelf, the side cracked, and the cardboard (cardboard!) backing ripped. You can't beat the price, but you get what you pay for.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Exactly what I expected For the price I paid, this bookshelf is exactly what I expected, no more, no less. I don't like the cheap plastic shelf pins, nor the flimsy back, but other than that, it serves the purpose for which I purchased it. I'm sure you could not load tons of heavy stuff on the shelves, but if, like me, you just want to organize a closet without spending a fortune, or putting holes in the walls,these are just the ticket. If you try to put this together yourself, do it as if it was laying face down, otherwise get a friend to help, it's very hard to put together with it standing up without another pair of hands. Fairly easy to assemble, plenty of hardware included.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Great looking shelves; basic finish These shelves look fantastic when assembled, and offer a great deal of room to hold books, display items, and to free up space on your desktop. Assembly goes fairly quickly if you pay attention to the part numbers. One thing that would make the unit better is a more durable finish; the material included here seems rather delicate and easy to scratch. Time will tell. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase.

We did notice that the top finish is very thin, it's already been scratched on one shelf as I took something off and on it. The four-shelf did require a wall anchor in my room but that may have been because carpet and padding are thick.

Rated 2 de 5 de par Save Your Money or Spend a Little More on a Better Product This piece arrived with chipped pieces and was missing a shelf. While I wasn't really looking for a high quality piece to begin with, I would like for the product to be in new condition with all parts. I am using the book shelf in a closet to add extra shelving, and it does serve that purpose.

If by plastic clips you mean the shelf supports that go into the adjusting holes in the side of the unit, then yes many types are available. Me personally, I did not like the plastic ones so I bought a package of metal ones. Home Depot may carry them as do other sources. They are 5mm in size if I remember correctly. Best wishes.
