Rated 5 de 5 de par [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well, it's not the prettiest tool in my shops arsenal but it is surely the handiest. This heat gun can both heat and then, if desired, cool whatever you are working on. This tool is much better and safer than using an open flame for shrink tubing, softening adhesives or to speed up epoxy curing. The four included reflectors/concentrators direct the air flow while protecting surrounding parts, thereby giving precise control of heat in tight work areas. Lastly, this heat gun is rated at 250 watts, weighs in at less than a pound, has a hook loop on the back of the gun for easy hanging and is UL listed for safety and quality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This heat gun from Weller just flat does the trick. I have used a variety of heat guns, from junk to industry professional models. I have to say that this gun meets all my needs. I know that it looks funny. But don't let the looks deceive you. This is a top notch tool that gets the job done. I really do recommend this product. It has several different attachment that will cover most all job applications. I will have to buy another one as my wife now claims it as her own. She uses it almost daily in her home hobby shop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Weller Model 6966 Heat Gun is a Hot tool. It has a trigger for cold air, off, and hot air. It can produce hot air at the tip at approximately 800 degrees Fahrenheit within 10 seconds. It comes with four heat gun baffle accessories (shrink tubing reflector 1 1/4", shrink tubing reflector 1/2", reducing baffle, precision reflector). Note you should always let the cold air run for about a minute when you shut down.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great heat gun for small, localized work like heat shrink tube. It has several tips for different things, some with deflectors so as not to heat surrounding items. Even without a tip adapter, the output is small, much smaller than local home store heat guns. It is very sturdily built, has a hook on the back for hanging between uses. Design does seem to be dated but it works.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 120 volt Heat Gun is light weight and has a great stand on the heat gun which makes it nice when you are using it for heat shrinking wire. The heat gun is also great to use when doing craft projects. The heat gun also has two heat settings, one is low heat, and the other setting is high heat. The heat gun also has heat shields for directing the heat in a more focused area.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All I can say is wow on this one. I have used a lot of heat guns in my life but this one they really thought it out. Has a stand for it to sit up on and the casing on it seems to be really thick and rugged. Im going to buy another one as I have to have one at home and one at work. It also came with a few different tips If your looking for a good heat gun this is the one!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is simply put the best heat gun you can buy if you work with electronics and regularly work with heat shrink. I’ve been using these guns at work for over 30 years now. These are one of the best examples of a tool built to do one thing and do it to perfection. It’s great they have kept them the same all these years. The trick with a heat gun being just perfect for the job (of working with heat shrink) is getting just the right balance of temperature and air flow. It also helps if you have quality components to stand up to a lot of use and the tool heats up fast. These guns score top marks on ALL these points. It’s a good sign that the gun comes with a schematic and diagram as well as a parts list that allows you to replace basically anything in the gun. In this day of throw away products extremely few manufacturers are still doing this. Sure you can go buy a cheap little heat shrink gun for 20 or 30 bucks. (I have one of those cheap ones myself.) And while those are “fair” at the job and will get you by for occasional hobby use, they are no comparison to the this Weller. That is comparing a toy to a professional tool. If you’ve worked around electronics for long you’ve probably already run into these. It’s no secret these are the one to get. Hopefully they’ll keep making them the same for years to come. When I went to test this one out I grabbed some really crappy old cheap heat shrink I had stashed away since I figured if it could shrink that stuff it would be pulling off a miracle. This was shrink I’d started to toss in the trash a number of times but did not for whatever reason (stiff, plastic like and old). Amazingly it shrunk that junk like a champ. I’d not thought it possible. That stuff was over 10 years old and was a bad grade when I got it. The tips that come with the gun are a great aid to speeding up the shrink process. It makes very fast work out of the job. You just cannot beat it.

About 40 years ago, when I was working, I had access to a very similar heat gun that we used to shrink tubing and heat semiconductors when we suspected thermal problems with them.I ha been looking for one every since that, and finally found one. I have it now and it does what I expect it to do. Just the right amount of heat, no too hot like my large heat gun.
