Rated 5 de 5 de par Excellent product, looks good and quite sturdy I purchased 12 of these units (three packs) for a railing project. They come in two pieces complete with thru-bolts and screws to attach the post. The kit does NOT include screws to attach the flange to the deck - a reasonable thing as this varies with deck details. I made a change in the assembly sequence, first installing the bracket pieces to the posts with the wood screws THEN drilling and mounting the thru-bolts. This allowed me to more accurately align the brackets with the post and position the post with a small gap between the bottom and the deck surface - this prevents water build-up and rot. Otherwise they went together easily and look good with my cedar posts. A good buy.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Quick and Easy These will work for anyone wishing to attach 4"x4" posts quickly on a dead flat surface. Any uneven surface and you will have to shim the bottom to get your post plumb. Also, the directions call for a hole to be drilled at 1" and 3" on the 90 degree corner using a 3/8" drill. When putting the carriage bolts in place and trying to attach the blind nut, lining up is nearly impossible with a 3/8" hole. I drilled a 1/2" whole to allow for play and it made the job go much smoother and faster. Otherwise, a good product for the money.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Well designed and solid This cleverly designed 2-piece post base will fit snugly on any 4x4 even if the dimensions are a little off. The materials are first rate - solid aluminum, powder-coated - and it's probably about as attractive looking as a post base could be. Comes with wood screws and bolts for mounting the base to the post, but not the hardware for mounting the base to wherever it is you are mounting it. This makes sense since the appropriate hardware varies depending on the mounting surface material. I am sure the base itself will not corrode. I'm not 100% sure whether the screws and bolts will rust or not. It is a bit pricey, but it won't detract from the appearance of your project like a basic galvanized base would.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Good Product, it worked I bought these for a deck project, I needed to brace some 4x4 posts. They worked good, however not exactly what I expected. They come in halves, so I was not 100% sure how sturdy they would be. We chose not to use the included hardware, and these bases worked great. Much less expensive than the other options (about 1/2 price).
