Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks great on our shower walls We used these to tile our shower walls in an offset pattern with charcoal grout. The end result looks amazing. However, these tiles are slightly bowed, so don't expect to get a perfectly flat tiled surface. They are also quite thin so when you're cutting them using a wet tile saw, the end bit breaks off just as you're finishing the cut. This is typical of thin tiles.

Are these tiles ok for a shower? What grade of tile is?

Yes, wall tile body is suitable for a shower wall application. All tile sold in North America meets the ANSI Standard A137.1 for tile. Grades are assigned to natural stone items, as they need to be separated, where as tile is produced and therefore controlled to a standard that all tile must meet.

What type of thinset works best to install these over backerboard in a shower? Planning to use Red Guard over cement board.

I used TEC brand 487 Ultimate 6 Plus polymer modified mortar with my tiles on Kerdi  board. So far I haven’t had any issues. I hung 15 boxes of the tiles.

My bathroom is 9 x 5 including a bathtub which I'm replacing. The bathroom walls have a 4' row of 4 x 4 white tiles. I'm changing the bathtub tiles to this one My ? is; how will the finished job look with 2 different length of tiles? HELP!!!

I only used it above our bathroom sink. But we, also, had to use two different lengths in order to make a back-splash above our counter and below the mirror. I think it turned out wonderfully, but it's all about the pattern you use while using two different lengths of tile. Good luck!

What is the waxy 'glue' used to stick these together in the package? It won't completely come off the tile backs, and isn't listed on the site or the product information sheet. I'll be using these loose in an aquarium, and I'm concerned about toxicity.

It’s to prevent the tile from scratching one another in the boxes. I’m not sure what it’s made out of but tiles in general other than glass tiles with no backing I don’t thing would be aquarium safe. The composites used in porcelain & ceramic production I believe are not aquarium safe.

what size edge trim do you use with this tile ?

This tile is 7.3 mm thick, so choose a trim that matches this tile thickness. Most are gauged according to the thickness of the tile.

Can I use 1/16 grout line with these tiles?

No, being a calibrated tile, you need to use at least a 1/8" grout joint if stacking, and a 3/8" grout joint if using an offset pattern. Note that being over 15" in length, be sure as well to use a 1/3 offset at most. These are recommendations set forward by the TCNA (Tile Council of North America) for all tile of this type and size.
