Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broke Down I bought this 10 months ago, and the oven just stopped working in the middle of using it. Electronic display completely turned off and is not responding at all. Notified LG on a Wednesday, and have been getting the run around from LG about how they are trying to find a gas technician. Every time I try to contact LG, they ask for Model#, Serial#, and it's a scramble to find my request. There was no confirmation email sent either for the repair request. It's the Holidays, I have cooking to do, and LG is now saying the earliest they can send someone is Dec 27 (7 days after initial call made to LG). Complete disaster.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Missing in action So many wonderful features but it's really missing the mark on some key safety features. Firstly, although the surface burners do go down to a very tiny simmer, there is no dial illumination to indicate that a burner is on. With a pot on the stove and the dial in a certain position, it looks off. Then there is the center console controls. The only part that is visible or illuminated is the time (or temperature when on) and the start button. That leaves at least 9 function buttons you can't see unless room lighting is high. It's pretty awful when you can't see the function buttons on the control panel.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed with LG Gas Range Read the reviews as I always do before purchase a item this expensive. While the gas cooktop is self if very nice the I have HUGE issue with the display panel on the stove. When playing over $2000 for the stove what manufacture doesn't brother to make the DISPLAY BACK LIGHT or even mentioned that in there specs. It's beyond hard to read and EXTEMELY frustrating. I think it is something the sales person should have know. Shame on LG for doing this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LG Range stove Excellent. Top has a solid plate and there is no possibility of liquid going into the unit, thereby no damages to internal circuit or electrical boards inside. Suggestion: there may a physical lever/control at the far back to manually shut off the gas supply when not in use or going to bed at night time for safety reasons. One less worry. LG should provide matching silicone strips to the unit and between the kitchen counter top to prevent spillage of liquids/food going down inside to floor. This will prevent possible mold or bad smell from the spoiled food. All the best.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Slow and uneven cooktop It looks great, and I like how the oven works. The stove top is slow. I find the cast grates are too high it takes forever to heat anything. One control knob also makes 2 burner ingitors operate, which I’m pretty sure shouldn’t happen. The center grill plate doest heat evenly so actually has a very small area that cooks anything. I want to return it and get an induction range. I had to add a gas line and thought based on past experience with gas ranges that the heat would be fast and even. Very disappointed after significant investment.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from LG dissapointing Have been using this now for about 6 months. the cast grates are too high, in my opinion and it takes longer as a result, also only large and small burners, no medium. the center grill doesnt get evenly hot no matter how long you wait so you cant use the whole grill, just the center. when turning on one element, others will spark. Home Depot doesnt take returns on appliances, so Im stuck with it. If I could do it agian Id get induction.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broke down after 18 months? Wow. I'd like to love this stove. But after 18 months (6 months out of warranty) it breaks down? Really?? According to the error code the best I can hope for is its the oven ignitor has gone. Worst case is the control board. So it'll either be a few hundred dollars in repair or probably a thousand. More than half the price of the stove. For the price of this stove I thought I was investing in a better product. Not a good look.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value Love this range. This is our first all-gas range and we are not disappointed. This range does everything our dual fuel did and looks great to boot. My criticisms are that there is no back light on the dials, it seems slow to heat up, and the convection bake temp won’t go beyond 400F, at least so far as we’ve tried. Still, it works well and we feel it is a good value purchase.

What type of Oven Hood is recommended? Can a none vented hood be used?

Asked by: AGTess
I have the above range LG microwave with a built in vent. The vent can be used through a direct vent outside or with just a circulating air vent works well looks good

We were told by the sales associate that the burners are gas and the oven is electric. I don’t see anything stating this in the manual. Is the oven gas or electric?

Asked by: Maureen
The oven is definitely gas. There's an electric lighting element, so maybe that's the confusion but this appliance is all gas.

It looks like the range has a range fan at the back due to the vents that are there. Is this correct? If so, does it take the place of a hood fan?

Asked by: PLCL
Range has Convection Fan. This is for sole purpose of circulating heat during cooking time. This is not for venting purpose.

Do you NEED to have an over the range vent to extract gases like carbon monoxide that vents outside?

Asked by: Mike1974
An over the range vent is circulating the air / odours, etc. outside of the home if connected to venting outside. There is the option of not venting outside but therefore the air is circulated back into the home.
