Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile material I have a century home that’s double brick. Horizontal wood strips were embedded into the brick, with vertical slats attached for holding the lathe and plaster. I gutted all aspects of the old vertical slats, sealed any cracks/holes in the masonry, and added new 2X3s as vertical slats... 16” apart. I then had to determine what to stuff in between. At first I contemplated ridged foam, but I hate cutting it.Then I thought about slicing safensound bats like slicing a loaf of bread, but that seemed impractical. Finally, I found this product for basement walls, and decided to give it a try. Comffortboard 80 Cuts easy. Tight fitting. Conserves space. Will last a lifetime.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cut it perfectly! Excellent product, as is all Rockwool insulation. One caution, though, as this particular product requires that you cut perfectly straight, as there is zero fudge factor, unlike the batts which can be oversized slightly and yet still fit and fill a gap perfectly. There is none of that with the Comfortboard 80.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to cut and fit This is an excellent insulation product. I was insulating my garage and the end walls where the rafters are located is angled. I was looking for a product that was rigid enough to stay in place by press fitting it in between the 2 X 4's. I decided to try the Comfortboard 80 and it worked very well, I found it very easy to cut and fit into tight spaces.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortboard 80 Insulating House Sills I have used fiberglass and Styrofoam on insulation projects in the past. This Comfortboard 80 was the perfect product for insulating the sill of our bungalow. Very little waist and easy to cut and tuck into place made my project go smoothly. The video showed how to insulate basement walls and strap over the Comfort 80 boards. I hope to do that too. I would like to research infloor heating using it as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful product. Wonderful product. Rigid and easy to install. Was perfect for our project and no pink itchy. Highly recommended as replacement for Styrofoam or pink insulation...and the mice don't like it!
