Rated 1 de 5 de par Tried two: neither one worked When you press the doorbell, you have to press really hard or even wiggle your finger a little bit to get it to work. So even though I have a note by the doorbell to that effect, most people just give up and knock, and then we can't hear them if the house is noisy. I called Hampton Bay customer service, and they had me replace the push button, so I replaced it with the same model, and got the same result. So when I called them again, they said buy a different model of push button. But when I looked at reviews, all the Hampton Bay wireless push buttons have poor reviews. So I'm going to have to go buy a wired push button and install it wired.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Serious Battery operation As an electrical engineer I noticed that the battery fails after a short period of time. I reversed engineered the unit and noticed that when you press the button you are doing only a control function, not a power function. This unit is constantly powered up with a 2032 lithium battery and will only last a couple of weeks at best and less during extreme cold temperatures. I was able to design a small circuit for myself using 2 AA lithium cells and proper battery management and works fine.

Unbelievable that Home Depot/Hampton Bay would market such a poor quality product. Looks nice but absolutely unusable with mounting system and flimsy clips.

After mounting the bracket (and now having two new holes) and clipping on the main body - it easily comes off the very weak plastic clips. Not worth leaving up for someone, or even the wind, to make off with. Will return it ASAP.

Rated 2 de 5 de par Looks great, not reliable The push button doesn't work every time. It's like it either has to be pushed in just the right spot or you have to hold it a second for it to work...but it still fails too often. However, unless I post an ugly note, my guests won't know that. There have been times where guests have left because we didn't answer the door because the button didn't work. We ended up moving the receiver close to the door so they can hear if it rings hoping that if they don't hear it, they will try again or knock...which defeats the purpose of having it in the first place. If it wasn't covid times, I probably would have returned it. I had a hard time finding the colour I wanted, so I'm keeping it for now. Looks great, just wish it was reliable.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Drains the battery in a few days I purchased this a few months ago and am now on my fifth battery. I started to track when I replaced the battery and this last one died in 4 days. Using a fresh new battery, and still made no difference. Effectively this unit does not work unless you have an endless supply of batteries. I will reinstall my old unit, where the batteries last for years.

Rated 1 de 5 de par junk This doorbell is all cheap plastic. I installed it and put some tape around it to paint the wall. When I pulled the tape, it ripped all of the brass coating off of the side of the doorbell. I had to return it and ordered a different (metal) doorbell online. I can't recommend this product.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Do Not Buy This I never write reviews, but had to on this terrible product. The chime unit works great, but the doorbell buttons are terrible. I bought 2, one for the front door and one for the back. A kid knocked the one off the back door and it stopped working, so I stupidly bought another one because they had worked great (the first week). Fast forward a couple weeks later, now I have 3 non working doorbell buttons, and its too late to take them back. This is the worst product experience I've had with anything since that mechanic ripped me off in '99. DON'T BUY IT!

This is a Wireless button only. It will work with a Wired Chime or should but you may have to check with Home Depot support to be sure. Not impressed with their wireless door bell lines from several bad experiences.

I wouldn't recommend it. The unit is not water tight. I have not been satisfied with the results of the system I bought the button for. I have tested the chime in close proximity to the button and it worked, but when I placed the chime 20 feet from the button it doesn't work. I am thinking about a wired transformer system that might work. Still looking into it.

This doorbelll cannot be hardwired. We used it temporarily with a wireless chime. We later purchased a basic wired doorbell and connected it to a Honeywell Wired to Wireless Doorbell Converter.

There is no sync button inside this doorbell. (see picture). The round white attachment to the side of the battery is a screwed on plastic cylinder that does not move and is definitely not the sync button. Am I missing something? I bought this to work with the Hampton Bay Wireless Fashion Vase door bell, Model # HB-7951-02. The small silver-colored attachment is not the sync button either. Please advise.

Hello, The sync button would be located on the chime that you want the button to work with. If your chime doesn't have a sync button give technical support a call at 1-800-858-8501 and they can assist you.
