Rated 5 de 5 de par Nice brad gun So far I've really liked this brad nail gun. It works well and is easy to load and use. I like the smaller size for getting into tight areas. I did have a nail jamb, totally my fault, and I looked on-line to see how to fix it. I found lots of bad advice. All you have to do is remove the red cap on the tip. Use a 3 mm Allen wrench to loosen the three screws on the driver guide, Loosen only! There is no need to remove them. Once loosened you can slide the plates the three screws hold down away from the brad and easily pull it out with needle nose pliers. Re-tighten the screws and get back to work. I would recommend this tool.

Absolutely excellent! After driving about 200 nails, had one nail hit the metal corner edge and come out - the rest were perfect. Perfect all-around nail gun. It will not attach a 2x4 to a stud in the wall, since the max nail is 2", but that's not what it's for. Today I was making a lot of off-angle cuts on 2x6 boards, and instead of building crazy jigs, I just nailed the boards to a wooden pallet. It was a breeze. If I had a nitpick, it would be depth adjustment - I'd like to know what the setting is, instead of having to drive a few nails to dial-in. Once set, it's perfect, but the dial doesn't indicate what it is.

Rated 2 de 5 de par Jams and misfired frequently Of all the options on the shelf at Home Depot, this was the most affordable. I chose it as I do light work with my woodworking tools and have found the low price point serves my needs with most tools. Was making some decorative trim to put as a border on something and this fit the need. I also purchased the Porter Cable brad nails. In using it over the course of my project, the nailer often jammed or mis-fired. I would guess it shoots correctly about 70% of the time. I have had better results with other pneumatic tools at this price point. This one will be returned in favor of a different model, perhaps I received a defective model as I see other reviews are positive.

Rated 5 de 5 de par A Good First Brad Nailer You want your first time to be memorable, and that's what you get with Porter Cable. Easy to operate, brads slide in easily and exit with that satisfying pffft that tells you you've nailed straight and true. For those without much experience, you cannot match the price and ease of use. Perfect for small jobs.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Defective - Misfired 25% of the time Defective - Misfired 25% of the time Only Fires A Nail Every Other Shot Porter-Cable BN200A 3/4-Inch to 2-Inch 18-Gauge Brad Nailer The BN200A Brad Nailer was defective out of the box. I fire consistently in the vertical down position but often misfire with the nailer was horizontal of vertical shooting up. Porter Cable customer service noted there had been some issues/recall and since I was still within the 90 day period to return it for a refund or exchange at Home Depot. I own three other Porter Cable nail guns and they have all worked flawlessly for many years. Due to my past experience with Porter Cable I'll get an exchange and give this gun an shot, if it fails again I'll be looking to a new manufacture for my next air tool purchase.

Rated 5 de 5 de par very good air gun i needed a brad nailer to do a hardwood floor, but for a ceiling. i used 3/4 in solid oak boards, beautiful stuff. but anyhow i bought the bostitch gun first, it lasted a total of about a half hour before clogging, & jamming up was a real issue. i took it back & bought the dewault gun, i had the same problems. i figured cause the wood was just really hard getting the shots in between the tongue & groove boards. so anyhow i took that gun back too, & at this point on my ceiling i am only about three feet done & had another 15 ft too go, & i mean width wise. so i kinda reluctantly bought the porter cable gun figuring it was so cheap it was probably junk. God was i wrong, lol. i'm telling you people out there, this gun is awesome. no kidding, i finished the whole entire job with not one jam of the gun. i was totally impressed with the simple design & performance in every way. if you need a brad nailer, this is the one you want. if you need that bran name of something higher priced for less quality...be my guest. but if you are gonna work that tool, i highly recommend it be the porter cable nail gun. you wont be disappointed.

Rated 5 de 5 de par this Brad Nailer is the right choice I purchased several in expensive brad nailers over the years and I should know better to stick with what works. I have always had very good luck with Bostich and Porter cable while others maybe cheaper in the long run they are not worth it. Probably the biggest selling point is when there is a nail jam the porter cable is easilty accessible thru a clip mechinism which alows you to open the nailer right up . Other cheap guns you have to use an allen wrench to open up the head and without question it is difficult to reassemble properly. In addition it takes signficant time vs the clip on the porter cable.

Rated 2 de 5 de par ok when it actually works This thing is good when it works. The problem is half the time it just doesn't fire a nail, and you can't really tell when that's happening because it still puts a dent in the thing you're nailing. This is using the porter cable brand nails too so if it can't work with its own nails then there's no hope. You open it up and look in there and verify everything looks fine, then close it up and it'll fire a few more then stop working again. So you end up with a bunch more nail holes in whatever you're building than you should have, and you're never quite sure which of those holes actually have nails in them. If you actually want a product that won't make you angry I suggest spending more money.

Does it stop firing when you run out of nails?

Does it stop firing when you run out of nails?
Posée par: Nannette
No, it does not and, depending on what the air pressure and down-force are set at, it can make a dent in the wood (after it runs out of brads) so it looks just like it countersunk a brad. So, you do need to keep an eye on it if driving a large number of nails. But, that said, it is a great little nailer, I'd buy it again. Hope this helps.
