Rated 5 de 5 de par Eligent smooth dissine and strong. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Beautiful, smooth curves and it's my favorite look. This is a strong and well made rack and at the same time is elegant. The directions are easy to follow and easy to install. It has a ingenious quick and easy methed of installation which any one can use and it always come out level. You can mount it on sheetrock or into studs. This is a great addition to any bathroom. This design come as a set or in 18" or 24" lenth. Good luck with your project.

The towel bar comes with what is called "press and mark" which is a washable ink stamp to easily show you where to drill. Also comes with a small self adhesive level which is very helpful. Brushed nickel matches our kitchen perfectly. Bar is strong but does not look overpowering. My wife liked this product so much I had to go and purchase similiar Moen towel rings for the bathroom.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Stylish Design [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Moen Darcy 18 inch towel bar is attractive, stylish and affordable. The kit comes with everything needed to mount on several substrate types using various mounting techniques. The wall plates, anchors and fasteners are all included. Installation was easy and seems strong when mounted on a hollow wall. These are a nice addition to any bathroom and are available in chrome and brushed nickel.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While the towel seems good solid quality, I found the "press and mark" system to be more or less useless as was the so-called self-adhesive level -- and more trouble than its worth. I don't think Moen did any actual usability testing when they created this system. First, the tiny level doesn't have a way to reliably attach to the towel bar. But even if it did, it doesn't give enough accuracy to be used. Second, the ends of unit fits loosely (as they should) which makes carefully lining up the unit on a wall and ensuring level before "pressing and marking" much more trouble than its worth. I just gave up on the press and mark after about 30 seconds, realizing Moen probably hadn't done any testing. All that said, installed the traditional way, the product installs normally and looks very nice.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Easy to install, yet not perfect [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I like the overall concept behind this product. You get a little stick on level, self marking pads and all the anchors and screws you would needed. You start by attaching the bubble level to the bar. Then you remove the cover from the markers which will mark the spot to drill on the wall. Lastly, you hold all three pieces together, try to keep things level while pushing firmly against the wall to make the proper mark. In practice, I found it difficult to stay level while also pushing on the markers to make them protrude out of their little hiding spot in order to hit the wall. Personally, I would prefer to go back to the paper template I have used many times before. It is a lot easier in my opinion. On a positive note, I really liked the drywall anchors they supplied. Since most studs are typically 16" on center, and 18" towel bar will only be able to hit a stud in one spot max. I got lucky and got one side in the studs and one in the drywall.

However if what you really want is a grab bar to prevent or minimize falls that you may also use as a towel rack, this product may be rated good overall but not excellent.

For the 18in towel bar, the rough-in length is 20 inches. Just fyi, the rough-in length for the 24 inch towel bar is 26in.

What kind of mounting hardware is provided for sheetrock? I recently installed two bars of other brands; one was a breeze with plastic anchors and one was a disaster with long bolts into a metal anchor. The one with the long bolts into a metal anchor had a spring mounting system that required such force to attach the bar that the bolts pulled out of the wall.
