Simply replace any existing wall thermostat to bring old heaters up to cutting-edge performance, plus the additional benefit of compatibility with the complete family of CONNEX Smart Heaters and wireless controllers.

  1. Make any existing heater work with CONNEX wireless controls. Optional CX-WIFI controller allows control from anywhere.
  1. Replace an existing thermostat to make any heater a Smart Heater. Works with new and old heaters,convection or fan-forced.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor execution Faceplate is a very poor interface and needs to be on prior to powering up if not, will not respond. More importantly, device randomly decides it won't turn the heater on (and sometimes, worse, it won't turn it off!)! Need to reboot via breaker to have it work again until the next time the issue pops up (normally within 24h). iOS app works, but buggy - randomly logs out forcing you to enter your credentials to control your heating! and 4th zone crashes the app around 11pm. These are all well documented issues on review sites from different vendors, but still selling these. Now stuck with a home equipped with a defective product collection (all components of the connex line have failed at some point and most are not resolved to this day). Customer service must be very busy.

The result is an area that is freezing or super hot. Massive waste of energy. I’ve called Dimplex multiple times - long waits to speak with someone and little help.

I called Dimplex Customer Service and after trying to trouble shoot, they advised me to switch the breaker on and off. Yes, this did work to reset the thermostat but it still fails over and over again. Not feasible to continuously reset the breaker several times a week because the thermostat is locked.

Called Dimplex and waited for a long time before trouble shooting. They are unable to help. Ended up having to return the product. Had three with the WiFi connector. You are better off buying a different smart thermostat.

They are aware of the issue but no fix yet. This is also common to several other products of the Connex Line I tested.

I keep having issues with no heat coming on or too much heat on . I keep having to reset the breakers to reset these SMART thermostats . I purchased them from Home Depot. I am no happy with the reliability of these devices . My hydro bills have skyrocketed since installing these SMART Thermostats due to heaters running . The temperature in the room is set to 22 degrees C, But I have seen temperatures reach 30 Degrees C and I have $400.00 Hydro bills . I am looking for a solution on how to have reliable thermostats which I can control and set to a program to conserve energy and hydro bill. What do I do can I return these to Home depot .

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very misleading and it didnt work I am a licenced electrician who was asked by one of my customers to try this product. I get involved in smart home stuff but this was dissapointing. It is not a stand alone smart thermostat. It needs a Dimplex controller which is an additional cost. This one I bought didn't work and actually caused a bit of a dangerous situation. It heated up a room and didn't shut off. This is not a reflection on any other products by Dimplex. I have put in a tonne of their heaters and stats and don't remember having any issues

When is this design issue going to be fixed and how will the "new and improved version" be indicated to the public?

In my new house.I had planned on using the Dimples Smart baseboard heaters. After reading the reviews on their thermostats which are not good, I'm wondering whether to use these heaters. Can other manufactures thermostats be used to operate them ??
